CDIGM
Certificate in Digital & Marketplace Ministry
Department of Theology · 1 year · 10 courses · 100% online
About this programme
A young member posts a two minute video that reaches four thousand people before Sunday's message reaches four hundred. The audience is already there, and so are the arguments, the questions and a good deal of false teaching. Very few churches have anyone trained to meet people on that ground with more than a flyer.
The study runs on two tracks that meet. One is media: a theology of the platforms themselves, then the making of content that carries weight rather than volume, and the answering of objections a Christian meets in public. The other is the marketplace, where leadership, enterprise and the handling of money are examined from the position of a steward rather than an owner. Both ask the same question, which is how a believer works with integrity where someone else sets the rules.
You will finish able to produce ministry content that stands up to scrutiny, hold a conversation with a sceptic without losing your footing, and carry the same convictions into an office or a business. Picture the next thing you post being something you would defend anywhere. If your mission field has a screen in front of it, apply.
10 courses across 2 semesters, about 1 year of study.
Who it is for
Believers who want a solid grounding in one area of ministry without committing to a degree. It suits workers already serving in a local church, and anyone returning to study after a long gap.
What you will be able to do
Speak and serve with confidence in this area of ministry, understand what Scripture teaches about it, and put that understanding to work in your local church.
How you will study
Every course here runs the same way, so you always know where you are.
- Six study modules a course, each with a handout you can read on screen or download.
- Video and audio of the same teaching, for studying while you travel or work.
- A short refresher quiz to open each course. It is not scored, and you may retake it.
- Two tests along the way, then a final examination. The pass mark is 50%.
- Results appear as soon as you submit.
Study is entirely online and at your own pace. Everything works on a phone, and handouts can be downloaded to read without data.
